How do customers buy my gift cards?

Customers visiting my site can view the card on the Gift Card page below the "Shop" tab. They select an amount, enter the recipient's details, set a delivery date for the card and pay. Once payment is complete, the customer receives an
e-mail confirming the purchase.
Tip: Customers can also purchase gift cards for themselves.

How do gift card recipients get their cards?

The gift card recipient receives an e-mail with the subject line "You have just received a gift card from Michael Jones" (with the corresponding name). Their unique gift card code appears in the e-mail.
How can recipients use gift cards when paying?

To use the card, the recipient visits my store and finds items to purchase. At checkout, they click on "Use gift card" and enter their gift card's unique code.

What happens if the order total is higher than the remaining value of the gift card?
If the sale total is higher than the value of the card, customers can pay the remaining balance using your usual payment methods.
What happens if the order total is less than the value of the gift card?
Any amount remaining after a purchase has been made can be used for future purchases.
For example, if a customer has a €100 gift card and spends €25, they can use the remaining €75 in the future to make purchases on your site.

Can gift card holders check their balance?

At present, it is not possible for recipients to check their gift card balance.
